We're Miami moms who got tired of waiting for someone else to fight back. Since 2023, Moms for Libros has been on the ground in Miami-Dade — showing up to school board meetings, tracking legislation in Tallahassee, and making sure Florida parents have the information they need to protect their kids' education.

We take action by:

  • Informing parents – We break down complex education policy, school board decisions, and book challenges into plain language so you always know what's happening in your child's school.
  • Mobilizing communities – From letter-writing campaigns to showing up in Tallahassee, we make it easy for everyday parents to make their voices heard where it counts.
  • Fighting book bans – We advocate for every child's right to access diverse, high-quality books that reflect the richness of our world — porque todos los niños deserve to learn.

Our work has been covered by NBC Miami, the Miami Herald, Axios Miami, and the Sun Sentinel — because when it comes to books and public education in Florida, parents are paying attention.

Support Miami students' Right to Read and Learn

Two goals. One community. Here's what your donation funds:

🛠️ Goal 1: Keep Us Running — $400

NationBuilder is the organizing backbone of Moms for Libros — it's how we manage our supporter database, send action alerts, and host this website. Your donation keeps us operational for the entire year.

Just 8 people giving $50 covers us for 12 months.

🪧 Goal 2: Billboard Campaign — $4,000

Parents in Allapattah, North Miami, Richmond Heights, Hialeah, and Homestead deserve to know what's happening in their children's schools. We're putting up billboards in these communities to inform parents about charter school co-locations in public school buildings.

Every dollar gets us closer to making that happen.

As featured in NBC Miami, the Miami Herald, Axios Miami, and the Sun Sentinel. Donations are not tax-deductible at this time.
