The State Board of Education is the governmental body that oversees how schools function in our state. They set the rules and standards that the districts are to follow. Many times the local districts hands are tied depending on the rules set forth by the state board. 

Comments can be submitted on items, and you can do so here: https://web02.fldoe.org/rules/Default. We have been able to make changes simply by the number of comments we have submitted, even if you cannot speak in person. 

Besides letting us know you will attend, you will need to sign up to speak once you arrive at the meeting as well.
